Hobbit Juice

Buy fresh organic fruits and vegetables.  A nice mixture is:

Add 1 cup ice and ½ cup water to blender, then

Chop and add

1 cored apple

½ cup celery

½ cup swiss chard

¼ medium beet

¼ medium turnip

2 medium carrots

½ cup spinach

1 cup fresh asparagus

2 T parsley and 2 T cilantro, fresh

Run blender on high for 1 minute.  Stir and push down any errant produce.  Add more cold water if needed to keep at blending texture.

Strain through a strainer, and serve juice as fresh as you can.  This is not a high-calorie drink, but a highly nutritious one with significant phytonutrients.  You can make this every other day and refrigerate the extra in a sealed glass container for the next day.  Make sure it is sealed to capture as much of the nutrients as possible.

And experiment with different fresh fruits and vegetables.
