…Doug has been back in chemo for a few weeks now, after a haitus and holiday of several months of play, visiting, and wonderful trips. We are now back for a more innovative and intensive (focused intention) time. More vegan diet, more therapies to be tried, new protocols, and the same love and appreciation for each day which gives us unending joy. If you’d like to follow us, I update here fairly often. Thank you for visiting my site(s) and for your appreciation of my attempts to communicate some of the concepts, visions, and conclusions I enjoy. Blessings. iloilo
Heating Pad to Induce Localized Hyperthermia
During each chemo session of three days, Doug used a heating pad to focus blood flow and enhance circulation through capillary dialation in the target area. The heating pad was used while he slept, and set to a specific temperature. Heat—applied to the specific target area where chemotherapy would be most helpful—causes the capillaries to dilate, bringing more of the chemotherapy to the targeted area. In Europe, the reverse is also used, with people wearing ice caps during chemo to restrict capillaries, and cause less damage to hair follicles, thus preserving hair.
MD Anderson uses hyperthermia for some types of cancer treatment. Studies at several cancer research treatment centers have effectively demonstrated the benefits of hyperthermia for cancer patients, when used in conjunction with standard chemotherapy. Neat.

Sweats
During the days when there was no chemotherapy, elevating the body temperature and inducing perspiration was achieved through the use of sweats: in Doug’s case, an individual-size steam shower was used. Doug took sweats every second or third day of the days between chemotherapy. The perspiration removes toxins from the body, and the enhanced body temperature inhibits the growth of cancer cells in the body. The skin is one of the body’s largest organs, and is highly effective in ridding the body of toxins through perspiration.
Creatin Whey with Glutamine
Many studies point to the efficacy of this product in strengthening the gut, providing optimally-available protein, and selectively enhancing survivability of healthy cells during chemotherapy. Patients with gastrointestinal cancers are especially benefitted by this easily-digestible form of protein, which, coupled with the glutamine, provides not only protein, but also has several healing and health-enhancing benefits for the digestive system.

Fish Oil
Fish Oil—we used the lemon-flavored kind—significantly reduces inflammation of tissues, thus inhibiting the proliferation of cancer growth and spread. As well, the fish oil contains specific compounds which enhance healing, support healthy tissue, and selectively inhibit the growth of abnormal cells, as well as contributing to apoptosis of cancer cells.
